The competitiveness among the Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receivers is still a major talking point as training camp comes to an end.

A number of players are still fighting for a position on the 53-man roster since roster spaces are limited, and Kadarius Toney’s future is getting less and less assured.

Toney was noticeably missing from the team’s preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which has raised questions about his future with the organization even though many of these players showed off their skills.

Andy Reid, the head coach, has taken note of Toney’s absence and injury concerns, as he provided a vague update on his condition.

“Yeah, I mean, he was out here today working,” answered Reid. “All it takes is constancy. That’s all that needs to happen. I tell them everything about the competition. You have to be really competitive because of the intense competition.”
