Netflix has quashed rumors of a Patrick Ewing documentary, confirming no such project is in the works. Instead, the streaming platform revealed plans for two documentaries spotlighting other New York Knicks basketball legends, slated for release in 2026. While one film will focus on Willis Reed, the iconic captain of the Knicks’ 1970 and 1973 championship teams, the second legend’s identity remains undisclosed, fueling speculation among fans.
Willis Reed, whose No. 19 jersey is retired by the Knicks, is celebrated for his courageous performance in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals, limping onto the court to inspire a victory over the Lakers.
