The alleged crime took place late Sunday night in the ship’s lower decks, sparking outrage and raising questions about safety protocols on the luxury liner.
The victim, identified as 32-year-old Emily Carter from Tampa, Florida, was reportedly last seen at the ship’s nightclub before disappearing. Her body was discovered the following morning in a restricted crew area, showing signs of sexual assault and strangulation, according to preliminary reports from onboard security.
