We sadly have to say goodbye to Marcus LeMarr Allen, one of the greatest symbols of the Las Vegas Raiders and a legendary figure in our cherished club’s history. His impact on the game, the franchise, and the Raider Nation will never be forgotten.

Allen was more than just a running back—he was a game-changer. Drafted by the Raiders in 1982, he quickly established himself as one of the most electrifying players in the NFL. His combination of vision, agility, and power made him a nightmare for defenses, and his leadership on the field set the standard for excellence.

His crowning achievement came in Super Bowl XVIII, where he delivered one of the greatest performances in NFL history. With 191 rushing yards and a record-setting 74-yard touchdown run, Allen helped lead the Raiders to a dominant 38-9 victory over Washington and earned Super Bowl MVP honors. His dazzling runs and clutch performances made him the heart and soul of the team throughout the 1980s.
